This isn't really *off topic* to the board, but I didn't think it was important to put it in notes from the headmistresses or even in the R/G part. This is about my website. Most of you here know it, or you wouldn't be here!
Anyway, here's the deal. I started my site on September 1, 2003. Over at Fiction Alley, the one who'd volunteered to do the "official" website [RED] did hers after mine. I'm mentioning the fact that while mine is not "official", mine was first.
On her site, she hosted the cookies from the ship's cookie jar, and I have links to them in the GROWL fic lists. The RED site hasn't been consistently online, though. Just recently, I tried to double check the cookies hosted there, and the site isn't even online though the webmistress does maintain other sites at her server/host/whatever the right word is. Also for the record is the fact that it's not the first time in the site's history that it's been offline.
So this is the advice I am seeking: Should I remove the links to the cookies hosted at RED from the fic lists at GROWL?
It would change the stats, of course, which realy isn't a big deal. I've just tried to be as comprehensive as possible in making links to fic that is out there.
Ideas appreciated.

As far as I see it, if the site is not going to be online then its not worth linking to.
Just my two cents.

Thanks, Nienna.
After I posted, I decided to do two things. I took down the links *and* I also changed the color scheme again. The green was no longer doing it for me, and sometimes it was hard to read.
I've completely reloaded the ENTIRE site [some 300 HTML documents--no joke], so you can see it now.
I think I'm a bit like my mom. Sometimes she asks opinions on what she ultimately knows she's going to do anyway. I wanted to take off the fic links anyway, but I just wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing.
