Do you ever suffer from writers block? If so, how do you deal with it? Do you have tricks to pull yourself out of it, or just ride it out? Is there certain factors that trigger it (like holidays)? Sometimes I think I suffer from writers block more than anyone I know . It feels like I have extreme highs where I'm very productive and have multiple projects going, reading lots of stories, etc, then swing equally as hard the other way, where I couldn't write a sentance to save my life. I'm usually a 'ride it out' person, but if anyone has any ideas or advice, I'd love to hear (read) it!

Well, when I get writer's block I think it's pretty helpful to open up some sort of word processor, put on music that demonstrates the mood I'm trying to set, and just stare at the white screen until something comes.
It works 95% of the time.

I don't know if I have a block, per se, but I get these periods of not wanting to write. In the case of lately, and in April, it was a case of being too busy to write because of other things that aren't recreation, which I consider writing fan fiction.
There was a particular one-shot story that I did want to finish once. When I first started writing, I had 3 started but not finished. I believe I listened to the Moulin Rouge soundtrack and wrote all the stuff to completion. It did help, so I have to agree with Hannah on that one.
Now I just wish I were triplets so there could be one of me for work, school and fan fic. I have Elemental Force to finish (with no sacrifice of quality, I hope!) and 4 one-shots that I want to complete (including "Blue Moon..." which is partially posted on GROWL. It's my site; I can do that.)

Egh. Hope I'm doing this right.
Anyway, writers block? Tell me about it. TEXTLeave the Lights OffTEXT is currently on the shelf. All my other stories too. I can't seem to type anything out, though I'm beginning to get plots again.
Usually, writers block ether goes away on its own or I'm stuck with it. One day I won't be able to write and the next I can write a chapter for each of my stories.

I love, love, love "Leave the Lights Off." But I also understand the writer's block. I'm new to writing fanfic, but last week, I had an overwhelming fount of ideas. Now I'm staring at MS Word and go between deleting everything on the page to adding to it. It is frustrating, but just hang in there. Somehow you'll get out of it. You have to...otherwise I'll be mad if you don't finish that story!
