My book finally arrived in the mail today. I haven't read it, but I looked through all the pages to see the artowrk. GrandPre is a fantastic artist and I love the things she makes for HP.
Now I noticed something right away for the chapter illustration of "Draco's Detour," if I remember the chapter title correctly.
In the illustration Draco is looking in a mirror. The thing about it, though, is that the image in the mirror doesn't look to be his own. It looks more adult, like Lucius. Did anyone else see that?
It could always have story implications. I'm willing to see. Now that I'm writing about mirrors in the HP-verse, I feel like I should go back and read Ron's prediction in book 1 because he made predictions all the way through him being head boy. I'm wondering if I've missed some foreshadowing/prophecy there.

yea i've always liked the artwork. sometimes they give out *subtle* clues as to what's gonna happen in future (if it's somehow related to what's in the chapter).
and plus i can't draw, so to me, they're amazing.

I have the British version, which doesn't have chapter illustrations. Sounds like they're an interesting source of inspiration, though. I may have to steal down to the library and take a look.
