Due to recent reports that a hacker was able to get Bloomsbury Publishing Plc and obtain the 'ending' of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, I was just curious as to whether this would really damage book sales or not...

OK, I'll answer my own question...I would still read the book.
Just because I would know the ending, I still don't know the beginning and middle and all the little stuff that happens throughout the course of the book.

Total agreement. It wouldn't matter to me if I had known the ending before i read the book. I mean, just because a book ends i a certain way does not mean that the way to get to the ending isn't interesting anymore
